The Artist
Hank Willis Thomas is an acclaimed contemporary artist whose work examines identity, history, race, and collective memory through photography, sculpture, and public installations. His work has been exhibited internationally and is included in major public and private collections. Especially For Eatonville continues his exploration of place, culture, and community through public art.

Work
We have commissioned acclaimed contemporary artist, Hank Willis Thomas to create a public installation work Especially for Eatonville.
Unveiled during founders day weekend, Saturday, August 14 the installation will remain on public view through September 30, 2028, inviting residents and visitors alike to engage with the story of Eatonville in a new way.
